The Church Of I Am
Not just your church, but your family
The Church Of I Am exists to proclaim the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ to our neighbors in Beaumont, Texas, the surrounding area, and ultimately the world! Our desire is to create a family of believers that not only build each other up in the knowledge and love of Jesus, but also share that love with anyone we meet.
Sunday Morning Worship Services, Talk About It Tuesdays (Tues. Night Bible Study), or our I.Y.A.M. ( I AM Young Adult Ministry) small group that meets at a local coffee shop, are just a few of the ways we work to spread the love Christ and impact our local community as a church on the go. We believe the true mission of the church is to be the Ekklesia in name and action, so therefore we desire to go out into the world around us every chance we get.
What We Believe
Growing in God's Way
From the moment God created the universe, He knew the plan of salvation he had in mind for all of us. The Bible declares, that he spoke and through His Word, the world came into existence. And in this account, scripture records that His Spirit hovered over the waters and when it was done, God declared it all to be good.
Even today, God who is the Creator of all, Word, God the Father, Word made flesh and Holy Spirit still speaks to His creation aka mankind and seeks a relationship with us. In fact, we were created for that very purpose. Unfortunately, through the sin of the first two people, God’s creation was corrupted and our relationship with Him was broken. People often talk of seeking God, and how humanity has nearly always done so. But the story of history is not so much one of us seeking Him, but rather Him bringing about his plan to restore that broken relationship and reconcile the world to Himself. Meet Our Pastor
Church Foundational Bible Passage: Exodus 3:14
As a young man I met and married my wife Marla almost 40 years ago, and we have 4 children, 3 god-children, 3 dogs, and a lifetime of love that we share with our family, close friends. A few years prior to meeting the love of my life, I received the call of my life! As a young child God began to impress upon me the desire to be a voice for him in the world around me and decades later, here I am still seeking, serving, sharing and standing for him! I have been in the automotive industry my entire adult life and also held numerous roles and positions in the local and national community while remaining ever faithful to my calling as a Pastor. My desire is the same today as it was the day God called me, to make the lives of the people around me better and impact the world for good through service as a servant leader. I attended Lamar University and received my degree in Business Management, and later on continued my education by attending Seminary and later pursued and completed my Master’s in Psychology. I started The Church Of I Am 20 years ago and have been blessed to see it become what it is today and I’m excited to see where God continues to take us as a church.
